After meeting with Archbishop Prendergast in December to express our dissatisfaction with the New Roman Missal and sending our letter and petition to all English speaking bishops in January, 2013, we have received 10 replies from bishops to date.

All of the replies thanked us for writing. Four of the letters are brief acknowledgements and four others express some support for our concerns. One bishop commented: “Your concerns are shared by many people” while another ensured us that he would continue to raise our concerns. One letter stated:

“In general, I would disagree with many of your conclusions relative to the Roman Missal, however, we would both agree that it is not perfect and needs a second look when the time comes for another printing.”

One bishop sent a lengthy critique of our concerns. A report on this initiative will be sent to all petition signees.
