CNWE members in Canada participated in the Synod in Rome, through prayer, intention and action. Members were encouraged to take a photo of themselves in solidarity, and Sr. Giang Pham put those photos and reflections together, into this 7 minute video on YouTube:
Greetings all. Here is a 20 minute video of our October 4 prayer at Cardinal Flahiff’s grave, that was put together by one of our Sisters, Giang Pham. The day was cold, grey, wet and windy. You can hear the wind blowing in the recording. (“fill the earth, bring it to birth, and blow where you will” – as Miriam Therese Winters sings.)
Sr. Giang also did well in picking up the sound – i.e. the voices and the music. And while it’s a “phone video”, it has an artistry, and reflects a moment of community larger than us all.
A transcript of the service is available on YouTube, in the description.
Here is a two minute video, sent out by the U.S. based Women’s Ordination Conference (WOC). The “Women’s Walk” they organized (WOC’s Walk as it were!) was one of their actions in which the “CNWE Nine” participated.
To get a sense of the Women’s Walk on the ground, please enjoy this gorgeous video from that October 4th witness calling the Synod to “Enlarge the space of their tent,” to include the voices and vocations of people of all genders to renewed ordained ministry.
